Michael E. Ficacci, of Cogan Station, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024, at the age of 79. He is survived by his beloved son, Michael S. Ficacci, cherished granddaughter, Alyssa Ficacci, brother, Albert Ficacci, and eight nieces and nephews. Mike's loving wife, Ruth Ficacci, preceded him in death in 2006.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Mike graduated from Clifton High School before embarking on a successful career that spanned over 35 years, retiring as the Vice President for HarperCollins Publishing Co., formerly Wilmor Book Distribution. He was a man of diverse interests, finding joy in hunting, fishing, attending auctions, and immersing himself in the beauty of the outdoors and nature. He especially enjoyed dining out locally for breakfast and dinner, where he could share laughter and stories with the servers and friends he made.

Mike will be remembered for his generous spirit, unwavering work ethic, and profound love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 1pm at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 40 Maxim Dr, Hopatcong, NJ 07843 with a gathering after at Patrick's Pub, 470 River Styx Rd, Hopatcong, NJ 07843.
