Michael "Mike" Sheldon, 67, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Mike was born in Lock Haven on September 7, 1958, a son of the late Roger and Jean (Shangraw) Sheldon.

He was a member of First Church of Williamsport and had been employed as a machinist for many local businesses.

An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and was an avid Notre Dame fan. He was a popular umpire for Little League baseball, and an avid coach for his boy's baseball and soccer teams, as well as a coach for all star teams. He was the president for the Williamsport Area High School parent band boosters in the 1990s, as well as a member of their Marching Millionaires.

He and his wife, Theresa (Steinbacher) Sheldon celebrated their 38th anniversary on August 29, 2025.

Surviving in addition to Theresa are daughter, Michelle (Hoover) Cremidis and her husband Paul; sons, Michael Anthony Sheldon and Brian Roger Sheldon; grandchild, Paolo Cremidis; sister, Cindy Patton, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; in-laws, Tom Nau, Denny Nau, Peg Myers and Bob Steinbacher.

In addition to his parents, his in-laws, Mary Nau and Walter Steinbacher Jr. preceded him in death.

A funeral service to honor Mike will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at First Church of Williamsport, 604 Market St., Williamsport, 17701.

Burial at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lock Haven will be held at 10am, Wednesday July 1. 2026.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mike's name may be made to the Williamsport Area Little League, 539 US-15, Williamsport PA 17702,  or through donations of pet supplies in Mike's name to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport PA, 17701.
