Nick, Pop, Cioffi, 98, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on January 8, 2025. Nick was born in Williamsport, PA on June 2, 1926. He was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Cioffi. In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Cioffi and Edward Cioffi; sister, Gloria Keech ; son, Michael Cioffi and daughter-in-law, Barbara Cioffi.

Nick was a 1944 graduate of Williamsport High School where he was a stand-out basketball player. Upon graduating Nick enlisted in United States Army and fought in World War II. Nick was awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded in battle. Nick also played baseball for the Army's 9th Infantry team. After returning from Europe, Nick married the love of his life, Anne Mangiardi-DiBernardo. They celebrated 76 years of marriage as of September 4, 2024. Nick worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 35 years. During that time, he also officiated countless basketball games and umpired softball and baseball games. Nick was also a youth Little League coach for Brandon Little League where he was still affectionately remembered as Coach. In continuing with his love of sports he was an Uncle for 35 years at Little League International. Everyone loved, "Uncle Nick," in the grove. Nick was inducted into the West Branch Hall of Fame for basketball and officiating.

Above all, Nick was a family man who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed visits from his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, especially on the front porch where he could wave and yell out to all those who passed by his home. He enjoyed attending all the kids' sporting events where he was one of their biggest fans. Nick was also an avid Yankee fan and loved listening to music by his favorite crooner, Frank Sinatra. Nick will be sadly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Nick is survived by his wife, Anne Cioffi; son, Ronald (Patricia) Cioffi; daughter, Janice (Lee) Frank; grandchildren, Nicholas (Jaime) Kelley, Meredith (Keith) Wenz, Michael Cioffi, Brett Kelley, Ryan (Tiffany) Cioffi, Christopher (Devon) Cioffi, and Morgan Esposito. He also leaves behind 13 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service to honor Nick will be held at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St. Williamsport 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025 with the Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating, followed by burial at Montoursville Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.
