William H. "Pappy Bill" Spreen, 79 of Williamsport, passed away at home on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020.

He was born in the Bronx, NY on April 11, 1940. a son of William A. and Alice (Taggart) Spreen.

Bill had attended the former Williamsport Technical Institute, now Penn College and had worked at Textron/Lycoming, now Lycoming Engines.

He was a social member of the former VFW Post 844 and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bill was a people person, he enjoyed dancing, being around people, drinking a beer with friends, he also enjoyed watching television.

His wife of 25 years, the former Mary Edwards, died March 20, 2007, he is also preceded in death by a stepdaughter Dolores J. Wilson.

Surviving are his daughter Angel M. Ott with whom he lived; stepchildren, William Wilson, Jr. of Williamsport, Christine Diermyer of Clovis, NM, Sally Duell of Blakeslee, Lori Parker of Williamsport; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3 ^rd St., Williamsport on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Burial in Jersey Shore Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
