Paul Frederick Glunk, 91, of Loyalsock Township, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2025.

He was born in Williamsport on February 11, 1934, a son to the late Harry P. and Lena Hazel (Caldwell) Glunk.

He was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School in Williamsport where he played in the finals of the Pennsylvania state basketball championship.  Paul went on to Lycoming College on a basketball scholarship. His college days were cut short by his entrance into the Army during the Korean War where he served in the 101st Airborne Division.

Paul was a Lycoming County Commissioner, the owner of the Caboose Tavern, a businessman, a real estate investor and a florist for nearly twenty years. In 1990, he was one of the founders of the Billtown Blues Festival that was held at his home on the Susquehanna River.

Paul was a member of the Williamsport Country Club, the Young Men's Republican Club, the Jaycees, Moose Lodge #145, as well as the Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #173.

Paul married his loving wife, Joann M. (Shooter) Glunk, on January 5, 1957 and they went on to celebrate 68 years of marriage this past January.  In addition to his wife Joann, Paul is survived by their children Richard Glunk, M.D., J.D. of Malvern, PA, Ronald Glunk of Loyalsock Township, Susan (Robert) Mathews of Aliso Viejo, California, and Randall (Jenny) Glunk of Loyalsock Township and grandchildren Remy, Jackson, Quinn, Kayla, Rian, and Reagan.  He is also survived by his brother Robert Glunk of Salladasburg, sister Sister Josine (Veronica) Glunk of Mendham, NJ as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, March 21, 2025 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport PA 17701 with Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating. The family will receive friends and family at the church, one hour prior to services.  Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery with full Military honors.
