Obituary

Phyllis Williams, 78, a long-time resident of Jersey Shore, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Leighton Place with her loving family at her side.

Born in Jersey Shore on July 27, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Katherine (Ross) Bertin.

Phyllis spent many years as a unit clerk for Williamsport Hospital, Susquehanna Health and retiring from UPMC Williamsport in August 2025. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and trips to the casinos, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughters; Jennifer Ergott (Steve Parlante) of Williamsport, Kimberly S. Croft (Christopher) of Miami, FL; four grandchildren, Teagan West (Ottis), Luke Ergott, Viktoriya Croft and Jaiden Cioffi; a sister, Rose "Sue" Sallot of Erie, PA; brother, Robert Bertin (Kathy) of Avis, many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Brenda Desanto.

In addition to her parents; two sisters, Mary Braim and Darlene Wallen and; a brother, Joseph Jovan all preceded her in death.

The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 12:30 to 1:00 pm with a funeral service at 1:00 pm., Pastor Tammey Edkin will officiate. Burial will follow at Jersey Shore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contribution in Phyllis's name may be made to; Lewy Body Dementia Association at lbda.org.
