Richard L. Bittle, 81, of Williamsport, passed away at Valley View Nursing Center on June 11, 2026.

He was born in Williamsport on October 28, 1944, a son to the late Augustus L. and Doris (Longenberger) Bittle.

Dick worked for 35 years as a supervisor for the Department of Environmental Protection. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1966 to 1972. He loved spending time at their cabin in Hillsgrove, gardening, and tinkering on his projects.

Dick is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former F. Paulette Hamm, and their children, Krista (Steven) Daldo, Scott Bittle, Amanda (Benjamin) Cantymagli; grandchildren, Brandon Daldo (Katelyn), Ryan Daldo, Kierra Cantymagli; step-grandson, Neiko Cantymagli (Valerie); great grandchild, Kasen Daldo; as well as step-great grandchildren, Liam and Maizee Cantymagli.

A graveside service will be held on 3:00 pm, Thursday, June 18, 2026 at St. Boniface Cemetery on the corner of Wyoming and Penn Sts. In Williamsport
