Robert J. Hutchinson, 80, a resident of Williamsport, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 1, 2018.

Bob was born in Greenwood Lake, Ny on January 15, 1938 the only child of Woodrow and Lulu Ryerson Hutchinson.

He attended the former Williamsport Technical Institute and taught masonry and carpentry at the former Williamsport Area Community College, now Pennsylvania College of Technology. His craftmanship as a stone mason was among his many talents

Robert of the jazz band, Bob & Mike was a talented musician and artist, playing many instruments, including, the piano, drums and teaching guitar lessons, as a member of Bob & Mike they played many area venues, including many of the local restaurants and music clubs, after the passing of his friend Mike, Bob continued to play jazz music at Rose View Center.

He joined the U.S. Air Force with his father's permission after graduation at the age of 17 and played in the Air Force Band.

A beloved father, grandfather and friend he is survived by six children; Cathy (Jim) Bates of Jeffersonville, Ny, Lori (Bill) Drury of Hyannis, Mass, Susan (Tom) Bradley of Parrish, Fla., Beth Horne of Fort Myers, Fla., Dorothy (Calvin) Packard of Williamsport and Kristina Hutchinson of Williamsport, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, his companion of more then 20 years, Patricia Fausey and her sons Eric (Marge) Fausey and Grant Fausey and his former wife Laura (Mike) Oshiro of Dunbar WV.

A Memorial service at Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St, Williamsport will be held 11:00 a.m. October 6, 2018.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to; Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
