Roberta M. Eck, affectionately known as "Bert", passed peacefully on Sept. 13, 2021, at Harmony at Spring Hill Assisted Living Facility in Lorton Va.

Roberta was born on May 31, 1930, in Gaines, Pa., to the late Earl and Hattie (Brown) Jenkins. Following her move to Williamsport, Roberta met her future husband, John Eck. They married on Nov. 8, 1958. Together, they raised their three daughters with the same values that they held dear. Throughout their 62 years of marriage, each cared for the other with love and compassion. Roberta's last wish was that John be well cared for.

Roberta was employed by the former GTE Sylvania where she worked as a flashbulb divider until her retirement. While at Sylvania, Roberta made many life-long friends that she treasured. She had been a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, John Eck; their daughters, Lori (Curt) Schmader and Jan (David) Bigelow, both of Alexandria Va.; grandchildren, Ian Donnelly of New Orleans La., Sarah Bigelow of Seattle Wash., and Dylan Schmader of Alexandria Va., as well as sisters-in-law, Janet Jenkins, of Roseville Pa., Rita Lane of Norfolk Va., Marjorie Kriner of Bloomsburg Pa. and Elaine Dunne of McHenry Ill.

In addition to her parents, Roberta is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Diane Pray and her brothers, Stuart, Lester and Lewis Jenkins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville with her pastor, Rev. Michael McCormick officiating Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at 10 a.m. followed by a burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Montoursville Pa.
