Ruth E. Fischer, 88, died Jan. 1, 2019 at her son's home in Millville. She was born in Limestone Twp. on May 20, 1930 a daughter of Harry and Frances (Hoffman) Wenner.

Ruth was a devoted member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, a 1948 graduate of the former St. Mary's High School. She was a homemaker, loving mother and nana. Ruth enjoyed making holidays perfect and playing king gin around a crowded table. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and canvas needlepoint.

She and husband Emil J. Fischer were married July 7, 1951, he passed away Sept. 28, 2013.

Surviving are her children; Barbara (Michael) Engel of Montoursville, Gary Fischer of Williamsport, Emil (Nancy) Fischer of South Williamsport, David Fischer of Millville, Michael (Michele) Fischer of Williamsport, seven grandchildren, Brian, Bradley and Heidi Engel, Holly Barbour, Kristen Manikowski, Ty and Nicholas Fischer, two step-grandchildren, Tamara Hoffman and Christopher Hoagland; ten great grandchildren, Addison, Cameron, Brynlee, Nolan, Brady, Mylah, Peyton ,Brooks, Dylan, Lucas and one on the way; four step-greatgrandchildren, Kalee, Alyssa, Kara and Aiden; sisters Helen (Frank) Pugliese, Doris Bischof, Carol Eck, brothers, Paul (Betty Jane) Wenner and Robert (Joyce) Wenner.

In addition to her parents and husband a sister, Ann Suders preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Monday Jan. 7, 2019 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport with burial to follow in St. Boniface Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Ruth's name may be made to Susquehanna Foundation, for the benefit of the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701
