Sharon L. Short, 66, of Loyalsock Twp., passed away at her home unexpectedly on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Sharon was born in Williamsport on February 1, 1960, a daughter of James L. Updegraff  and Areta P. (Whiteman) Updegraff.

She was a 1978 graduate of Loyalsock Twp. High School, she enjoyed cooking, drawing and crafting. Sharon had an infectious smile, though she had many physical issues it never stopped her from moving forward with a smile, always upbeat and concerned for others, always on the move. An animal lover, she was never without a dog or cat.

Her husband, Roosevelt E. Short Jr. died in 2007.

Surviving are her son, Roosevelt E. Short III, with whom she lived; sisters, Sandra Caschera and Susan Preston both of Williamsport; brother, James L. Updegraff II of Cogan Station and her beloved fur friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, a step-son, Edward D. Smith, preceded her in death.
