Shirley J. Doebler, 84, of Jersey Shore, formerly of Cogan Station, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at ManorCare Health Services of Jersey Shore. She was the wife of the late Dale C. Doebler with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

She was born in Williamsport on June 6, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Russell O. Winner Sr. and Thelma V. Beaghley Winner.

Shirley worked as a unit clerk for Divine Providence Hospital for 27 years. She was an avid Penn State football fan and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing bingo. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Williamsport.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon K. (Kevin) Long, of Cogan Station; two sons, Carl W. (Gail) Marshall Jr., of Henrico, Va., Gary A. (Susan) Marshall, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., a brother, Wayne D. Winner, of Williamsport; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her first husband, Carl W. Marshall Sr., April 1965, her second husband Dale C. Doebler, September 2010; two brothers, Russell O. Winner Jr., and Carl Winner; and by a granddaughter Kathryn L. Burchanoski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shirley's graveside service at 11 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 8, at Montoursville Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Waters officiating.
