Teresa M. Kaye, 95, passed away at Valley View Nursing Center on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

Teresa was born in Williamsport, on May 9, 1924, a daughter of Pietro and Sebastiana "Bessie" (DiMarco) Mirto

.
She had been a member of the former Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, now St. Joseph The Worker Parish. Teresa had been employed for 32 years at the former GTE Sylvania in Montoursville. Teresa enjoyed cooking and was affectionately known as "Mother Teresa."

Her husband of 49 years, M. Roy "Pete" Kaye, died Aug. 29, 1998.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane M. Kaye, of Williamsport, and Debbie A. (Mike) Martinozzi, of Montgomery; a granddaughter, Michele Sargent; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee Sargent and Zoey Sargent.

In addition to her parents and husband, brothers. Jack A. and Lawrence Mirto; and a sister, Carmen Starr, all preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 30, from 9 to 10 a.m.

A funeral service will be held at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Brian Van Fossen officiating, followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions may be made in Teresa's name to a charity of your choice.
