Thomas E. Coolidge, 79, of South Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at UPMC Susquehanna ER.

Tom was born in South Williamsport, on March 29, 1940, a son of the late Leonard and Gertrude (Baumann) Coolidge.

He was a 1958 graduate of South Williamsport High School. Tom retired in 1999 after being a driver for 36 years with UPS. He was a life member of Citizens Fire Company and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He and his wife, the former, Irene A. Shuhler, celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on July 22, 2018. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and their families, Edward T. (Jamie) Coolidge, of South Williamsport, and Andrew L. (Melanie) Coolidge, of Trussville, Ala.; grandchildren, Ryan, Peyton, Andrew and Emma; two brothers, Robert (Barbara) Coolidge and Larry Coolidge, both of South Williamsport.

At Tom's request there will be no viewing or funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Tom's memory, be made to The Susquehanna Health Foundation for the benefit of the Heart and Lung Ctr., 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
