Thomas B. Holmes, 61, of Cogan Station, passed away at home, on Monday June 17, 2019, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Tom was born in Muncy on Sept. 4, 1957, a son of William A. and Nancy E. Zellers Holmes. He was a 1975 graduate of Loyalsock Twp. High School and had attended the former W.A.C.C., now Penn College. Tom spent 33 years at the Williamsport Water Authority and for the last ten years he was the field superintendent for the Lycoming County Water & Sewer Authority.

Tom was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Gesang Verein Harmonia and as an outdoorsman he was a member of the White Oak Hunting Club in Burnside Twp. He enjoyed hunting, cutting firewood and gardening. He was a sports enthusiast. And when he had the opportunity, he enjoyed traveling, but his greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to his parents of Loyalsock Twp., are his wife, the former Denise A. Fortney, they celebrated their 40 ^th wedding anniversary Sept. 9, 2018, a son; Brian M. (Caroline) Holmes of Newtown Square, a daughter; Melissa S. Holmes of Pittsburgh, a brother William P. (Karen) Holmes of Williamsport, sister; Marybeth (Brett) Mitstifer of West Caldwell, NJ and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3 ^rd St., Williamsport on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Rd., Williamsport, PA with his pastor, Rev. John J. Victoria, officiation. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville.
