Vera E. DePasqua, 95, formerly of Third Ave. in Williamsport and a resident of the Presbyterian Home, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at The Gatehouse Hospice while surrounded by her loving family.

Vera was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 18, 1929, a daughter of the late Thurman and Sara (Heyd) Pool and moved to the Williamsport area when she was young. Vera was a loving stay-at-home mother and homemaker, always making her family the center of her world. Her love will sustain them.

When she was younger, she worked at Sweet Steel and later at the former Northern Central Bank. She had been active at the former Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church and the church's Christian Women's Society and sang in the church choir. When Mater Dolorosa closed, she joined St. Ann Catholic Church. In recent years she had been attending weekly services at the Presbyterian Home, and she also visited Christ Episcopal Church.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Ernest J. DePasqua, on December 11, 1999. In addition to her husband and parents, her daughter, Susan Elizabeth DePasqua, and her great granddaughter, Emma DePasqua, also predeceased her.

Surviving is a daughter, Marianne (John) DePasqua Raymond of Williamsport; son, Philip (Dawn) DePasqua of Williamsport; grandchildren, Philip DePasqua Jr., Justin DePasqua, Seth DePasqua, Noah DePasqua, Luke DePasqua and Megan Wright; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a sister, Twila Perry of Mechanicsburg, along with nieces and nephews and her beloved miniature long-haired dachshund, Kimber.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Vera's life will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 19, 2025, at Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St., Williamsport with Rector. Rev. Kyle Murphy officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 10:15 to 10:45 am prior to the service in the church lounge. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Presbyterian Home staff for their kind, caring support for the past six years and making Vera feel part of the Presbyterian Home family. They would also like to thank the Gatehouse staff for making both their mother's time and their stay at the Gatehouse so comforting.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Vera's name may be made to the Susquehanna Health Foundation for the benefit of the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
