William M. Quick, 62,  was born September 21, 1961 to Mary G. (Berrigan) and Vincent Quick, Sr.  Bill was under care of Hospice at UConn Medical Center in Farmington, CT when he passed February 21, 2024.

William graduated from Bishop Neumann High School and progressed to WACC, forerunner to Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he earned a degree in mechanical drafting.

Bill's job led him to many different areas throughout the cities of Pennsylvania where he worked diligently within his expertise and knowledge.  He began his mechanical drafting position with M&M Sheet Metal which led him to purchase of his own business at Hall's Metal Fabrication, Montgomery, PA.

His last position led him to Engineered Building Products , out of Bloomfield, Connecticut. Bill was meticulous in his work, and excelled here.

Bill was surrounded by those he loved toward the close of his time on earth, specifically, those surviving - his wife, Helen Miller, his son, Ryan Quick, and Ryan's fiancée,  Alicia. He is survived by a step-granddaughter, Addy. A granddaughter, Harlow,  is anxiously expected in June.

Bill's Credo was, "I fish, therefore, I am."

The most valued part of his life, though, was his adventurous times with his son, Ryan, with whom he had a remarkable father-son relationship. Their many adventures in skiing, traveling, and most of all, beloved flyfishing in all the creeks in PA and most of CT will  leave lasting, loving memories. Ryan is his legacy, his pride and joy.

A recent family camping trip near Williamsport allowed for his siblings to enjoy camaraderie this past summer. Surviving him are two sisters, Sister Mary Vincent, LSP, of Pawtucket,RI; Janetta Dudek, of Williamsport,  and one brother, Vincent, Jr. (Laura,) Williamsport. He is also survived by sister in law and brother in law, Robin and Dan Cassidy.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother Mary, and father, Vincent, Sr.; mother in law, Mrs. Maggie Miller, and brother in law, Robert W. Miller, Jr. (Bobby.)

Bill loved holidays, but the biggest holiday of the year for him was opening day of trout season in April. Bill also excelled on this day! His many experiences in fishing bring to mind unique and funny stories to be shared.

Bill also had an online store for his fly fishing talents, as he crafted thousands of unique fly fish hooks and lures.

Bill also enjoyed the love and support of a big loving Irish family, whose prayers and sentiments were appreciated by not only Bill, but his entire family!

We will remember Bill for his laughter, his beautiful crinkled smile, his consideration, his kindness and his giving spirit. He was never too busy to help someone else.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Thursday, April 25 at 10 am to commemorate Bill's life. There will be no viewing.
